Additional Information:

  • The 1930-1934 Bugatti Type 49 was the last — and best — of the single-cam eight-cylinder Bugattis. A larger engine made a more flexible, refined tourer than the Type 43. Bodies tended to be bigger, plusher, and more civilized as well. Alloy or wire wheels were specified.
